Rioja Lodging

rioja lodging

These are a few of the top lodging and hotel accommodations located in the wine towns of the Rioja wine region of Spain. There are many small wine towns in Rioja that have very comfortable hotel accommodations for the wine traveler. These small Rioja wine towns include Briones, Elciego, Haro, and Laguardia.  The amazing Hotel Marques de Riscal and Winery is located in Elciego.  It was designed by Frank Gehry and has become a landmark in the area’s landscape. Logroño is a major city with a population of 147,000. There are several luxurious hotels in Logroño.

If you stay in Logroño, you must hit the Tapas scene. Spaniards know how to party and go Tapas hopping into the wee small hours of the morning. Calle Del Laurel is the center of the Tapas scene. It is sometimes referred to as the “Tapas Crawl.” Along this street and the surrounding area, people bounce from one Tapas bar to another for a great evening of food and fun. Logroño is also the center of all the business for the Rioja wine region. Shopping is also first rate in Logroño.

There are so many wonderful restaurants and Tapas Bars that we do not need to make recommendations for places to dine. Just walk out your hotel door and a food adventure awaits you.
